Government agrees to pay generators

DiarioLibre.com: "President Leonel Fernandez decided yesterday to search for immediate alternatives in order to get a hold on the energy crisis. He convened a meeting in his office in the Presidential Palace with the representatives of the electricity generators with whom he agreed to make a payment this week of US$15 million and guaranteed the payment of the deficit of US$700 million estimated for 2009."
