Making Clean Energy from Waste
Renewable Energy World: "In 2007, the US produced 254 million tons of municipal solid waste according to the EPA. The great variety of waste ranges from organic material in landfills, to waste from the chemical industry that must be treated as hazardous material, a costly proposition. While all of this waste is a big problem, it is also an opportunity for those who find better ways to deal with it, turning waste into profit."
