The North Face Completes 1-MW Solar System

Renewable Energy World: "The North Face, a supplier of outdoor apparel, has completed construction of a 1-megawatt (MW) solar electricity system at its West Coast distribution center located in Visalia, California.
There is a massive need for clean generation located close to where power is actually used, and customers like The North Face are playing a key role in making that vision a reality.'
The system, which will power 25-30 percent of the energy needs of the facility, was designed, engineered and installed by Suntech Energy Solutions (formerly EI Solutions), and is financed, owned and operated by Recurrent Energy. One hundred percent of the electricity will be sold to The North Face under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) from Recurrent Energy."
