Canadian WindFields and CERCA Dominicana S.A. sign Agreement to Develop Renewable Energy Projects in the Dominican Republic

Canadian WindFields and CERCA Dominicana S.A. announced today that the companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop wind, solar and biomass energy projects in the Dominican Republic. The first stage shall be for a joint assessment to conduct feasibility studies to provide power to 20, targeted, private large-scale enterprises. “Initial studies will begin immediately.” says David Baker, President and CEO of Canadian WindFields. “We look forward to working with CERCA to develop the vast wind, solar and biomass resources, to develop a stable, clean energy supply to communities throughout the Dominican Republic.”
